Hello and welcome.

Bespoke picture framing services that use ecological materials. This service is available for everyone including professional artists and photographers.

My picture framing workshop is located on an old farmhouse in Libaros, 65330, Hautes-Pyrénées, France.

Local towns include: Galan (3.5km), Puydarrieux (5.3km) and Trie Sur Bäise (10.6km).

I have 30 years experience of framing a wide variety of images for exhibition; including oil paintings, original water colours and drawings; limited edition prints, photographs, certificates, valuable artworks and bizarre objects.

I like a challenge and can mount and frame just about anything using box and float mounting techniques.

Why eco?

Harmful chemicals and acids are present in factory produced picture frames. Over time these products can off-gas within the sealed frame causing unpleasant interactions with original photographs or piece of art.

My eco frames do not contain any toxic chemicals. Eco framing protects the art and is potentially beneficial to the living environment.

My bio-ethical approach includes:

• Using locally-sourced french wood for frames reducing the need for imported wood
• pH neutral adhesives and tapes
• Acid free conservation mountboard
• 100% cotton museum mountboard for valuable works
• Archival polyester mounting corners
• No MDF
• Formaldehyde-free backing boards
• Reusing reclaimed wooden frames
• Natural wood finishes: barefaced oak, van dyke, brue de noix
• Toulene-free natural beeswax polish
• Reducing and recycling of waste materials

Special items

It is my sincere belief that everyone has something rather special to them tucked away in a cupboard or drawer that they have been meaning to have framed up for years.

Maybe it is an artists print or an original drawing of or by a loved one? Or maybe it’s a special photo that transports you back to a happy time? A special memento or object such as a babies first pair of shoes?

A personal treasure, keep-sake or memento when presented within a beautiful made-to-measure frame makes a wonderful, unique gift for someone special.

I can frame precious or valuable items using non-contact techniques which are 100% archival and reversible to museum and conservation standards

Bring with you what you would like framed and view my range of framing techniques and materials in person.

During your visit I will help you visualise and decide what you want the finished frame to look like. The finished frame should complement both the work within the frame as well as being aesthetically pleasing within the intended hanging space; matching the interior decor if necessary.

I will inspect your work respectfully wearing clean white cotton gloves and generate a free quotation and you can decide if you would like to go ahead.
